3. Purpose of Honfleur Insider

Honfleur Insider is a digital information, local discovery and assistance service intended in particular for visitors to and residents of Honfleur and the surrounding area.

Depending on the sections available, the app may provide tourist and practical information, places and businesses, walks, routes, navigation services, cultural information, events, cinema listings, maps, audio, video or multimedia content, as well as information from third-party sources or services.

4. Accuracy of information

PARTICIGO takes great care to ensure the quality and currency of the information published in Honfleur Insider.

Some information may nevertheless come from third parties and may change without Honfleur Insider being immediately informed. This may include opening hours, prices, contact details, programmes, events, access conditions, availability, routes or services offered.

The information is therefore provided for information purposes only. Where necessary, users are invited to verify the information directly with the establishment, organiser or service concerned.

5. Geolocation

Some Honfleur Insider features may use the geographic location of the user’s device.

Geolocation may in particular be used to determine the starting point of a route, display nearby places, calculate distances, guide the user to a destination or assist them during a walk.

Access to location data requires the user’s permission where required by their device or browser. This permission may be refused or withdrawn at any time through the device or browser settings.

Honfleur Insider is not intended to create a record of its users’ movements. GPS coordinates used for proximity and navigation features are not stored by Honfleur Insider in a database intended to track or reconstruct individual users’ movements.

6. Navigation and routes

The maps, routes and directions provided by Honfleur Insider are intended as travel assistance.

They never replace road signs, traffic rules, local orders, instructions from the authorities or an assessment of the actual conditions encountered on site.

A route may temporarily become impassable due in particular to roadworks, an event, weather conditions, a closure or a change in traffic arrangements.

Users remain responsible for their own safety and must always give priority to the actual conditions encountered.

7. Personal data

PARTICIGO endeavours to limit the collection of personal data to what is strictly necessary for the operation, security and improvement of Honfleur Insider.

Depending on how the service is used, certain technical information may be processed, including information relating to the browser or device, the IP address in connection with server communications and technical logs, as well as usage statistics.

8. Audience measurement with Matomo

Honfleur Insider uses Matomo to measure use of the service and improve its operation.

The configuration used aims to minimise the collection of personal data.

• Matomo tracking is carried out without audience-measurement cookies;
• IP addresses are anonymised by masking two octets;
• the anonymised IP address is used to add geographical information to visit statistics;
• the referring URL is limited to the domain name;
• no personally identifiable user ID is transmitted by Honfleur Insider to Matomo;
• raw visit data is automatically deleted after 759 days;
• aggregated statistical reports may be retained to monitor overall audience trends.

Statistics generated by Matomo are used by PARTICIGO to measure and improve Honfleur Insider. They are not sold to third parties and are not used to create individual advertising profiles.

9. Cookies and local storage

Honfleur Insider may use storage mechanisms that are strictly necessary for certain features to operate or to remember user preferences.

Matomo audience measurement is configured without tracking cookies.

If new services using trackers subject to consent are added in the future, Honfleur Insider will adapt its information and consent mechanisms in accordance with the applicable regulations.

10. Technical logs and security

As with any service accessible over the Internet, Honfleur Insider servers may automatically generate technical logs required for operation, error diagnosis, service security and the detection of abnormal or malicious activity.

This information is used solely to administer and secure the service and is retained for a period appropriate to those purposes.

11. Third-party services and content

Honfleur Insider may display, embed or link to content or services operated by third parties, including mapping services, videos, cultural programmes, trailers, radio stations, audio streams, establishment websites, tourist information or event data.

These services remain subject to their own terms of use and privacy policies.

PARTICIGO cannot be held liable for the operation, availability or content of an independent third-party service.

12. Listings of establishments and places

The presence of an establishment, business, professional, place or event in Honfleur Insider does not necessarily constitute a commercial relationship, partnership or contractual recommendation by PARTICIGO.

Similarly, the absence of an establishment does not constitute any judgement against it.

Those responsible for an establishment may report an error or request an update to information concerning them by using the contact address shown on this page.

13. Intellectual property

The overall structure, presentation, visual identity, original texts, editorial content, graphic elements and proprietary developments of Honfleur Insider are protected by the applicable intellectual property laws.

Unless prior authorisation has been obtained, their substantial reproduction, extraction, adaptation or reuse for commercial purposes is prohibited.

Trademarks, photographs, illustrations, videos, posters, logos, maps and content belonging to third parties remain the property of their respective owners.

14. External links

Honfleur Insider may provide links to external websites or online services.

PARTICIGO does not continuously monitor these services and cannot guarantee their availability, security or the accuracy of their content.

15. Liability

PARTICIGO uses reasonable means to ensure the operation of Honfleur Insider.

Access to the service may nevertheless be temporarily interrupted, in particular due to maintenance, a breakdown, a technical incident, a telecommunications network failure, the unavailability of a third-party provider or circumstances beyond PARTICIGO’s control.

PARTICIGO does not guarantee that all features will be available at all times or free from errors.

16. User rights

In accordance with the applicable personal data protection regulations, every person has rights, depending on the processing concerned, in relation to personal data concerning them.

These rights may include the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and, where applicable, data portability.
